OUR PROGRAMS

In Montessori, our children are active learners who experience hands on, developmentally appropriate activities that foster independent learning.

Our curriculum to the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework is based on 12 months similar to school year with monthly topic areas aligning.

AGE BASED PROGRAMS

Infancy

From birth children (0-3) are learning and absorbing from the world around them. We provide an environment and resources to assist in that development. It is during this time that the child will start to experience sensitive periods and become fascinated or fixated on a work task or learning element.

Auslan and baby sign language are taught dailyfrom birth onwards (basic commands and daily acts of living).

Casa dei Bambini (Children's House)
The children of pre school age (3-6) are becoming more aware of themselves and it is a time of personal construction with a focus on four key areas including Practical Life, Sensorial, Language and Mathematics.

A standard part of our service includes indigenous Wiradjuri language including greetings, some rhymes, songs and activities.

As part of the child safety program and Montessori curriculum we use correct anatomical names for body parts as it is essential that children learn from an early age correct naming.

“Watching a child makes it obvious that the development of his mind comes through his movements.”  Maria Montessori

Family Day Care

Mission

We aim to provide a specialised prepared learning environment suitable for education and learning through child led play based activities, work experiences and a high standard of service.

Family Day Care

In order to get the best we prepare an age appropriate range of work activities based on sciences and logic to help question and build skills. Individual children are able to work within their abilties which enables them to progress at their own pace to create a feeling of belonging.
